Every Christmas, someone--often my Grandma--gave me a Life Savers™️ Storybook. And as an elementary school kid, I thought, "When I'm an adult, I want to have 1 of every flavor of Life Saver there is." Although I would occasionally buy Life Savers at the penny candy counter at my local Selden's Department Store, my best stash came each Christmas in the form of the Storybook.

2012 was the year Wm. Wrigley Jr. celebrated Life Savers ™️ 💯 th birthday. On the left is a picture of the hundredth anniversary Storybook. Life Savers™️ are known as Salvavidas in Spanish-speaking countries. Sauveurs de vie bonbons are known as Life Savers™️ in French- and Italian speaking locales, though their flavours are translated into francais and italiano.
Life Savers ™️ is a trademarked name currently owned in the US by Mars Wrigley Confectionery, having been owned and/or licensed by many previous companies, varying by country.

Back in 1935, Life Savers™️ started a new, truly iconic product: Five Flavor. If one lines up colors in this pattern and puts white words over it, most people in the United States, Canada, or Mexico would realize the resulting design was intended to evoke Life Savers. In 1951, Five Flavors was the best seller (Modern).

Move over, Weinermobile (1956). Step aside, Hershey's Kissmobile (1997) cruiser vehicle. The 1st Life Savers Mobile had already been created in Australia in 1924. And the Americans & Canadians had their own versions, as well.

Back in 1987 or 1988, I reached out to Nabisco and requested the definitive list of flavors (flavours) of Life Savers™️ that had been made. They set me a typewritten, 1-page list of the flavors that were available at that point. Yet in 1989, when they produced early replicas of Pepsin, Choc⭕Late, and Lic⭕Rice, I first became aware of the discontinued flavors--of which there had been many!
