Life Savers were available in New Zealand--who knows, probably early on. But they were produced in Australia. That changed in 1963.

1963
As of August 1, Heald Ltd was pegged to manufacture Life Savers and Walco products. This enabled Life Savers Australasia to maintain a balance in production among their products, which also included confectionery products Mastercraft and Smalls.

1989 - Nestlé Australia purchases 100% of Allen's Life Savers (History).
The above package of Musk Lifesavers was made by Nestle' in New Zealand. The bottom package was made by Allen's in Australia.

2018 - Nestle sold a number of its confectionery brands, including Life Savers, to Quadrant Private Equity in Australia, at an undisclosed price. This involved certain employees (up to 55) losing their jobs at the Wiri manufacturing plant.
