Artist's Statement:
I do not venture into the world of three dimensional art very often, and I generally like keeping it that way. However, when we were asked to create a mask in art class, I knew I could incorporate my piece into my understanding of the human face so I could practice for character design. I wanted to capture a vivid, almost violent emotion rather than a tranquil one to make the task more challenging and interesting to look at.
