PXL 20220903 121452895MPThe Umeda Sky Building is a skyscraper in the Umeda district of Kita-ku ward in Osaka. It's one of the tallest buildings in Osaka- each of the two towers have 40 floors, and stand at a height of 170 meters. It has a striking appearance, with an escalator leading up to an observatory that connects the two buildings at the top.

I initially visited the tower because of an art exhibition inside put on by Japanese artist Koji Kinutani, who I will touch on separately in a later post (though unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the art). To fulfill my picture and sightseeing quota, I went to the Kuchu Teien Observatory at the top. The night view of the tower was absolutely stunning- my photos don't do it justice, so I highly recommend stopping by if you're planning a trip to Osaka or the Kansai area.
